In Web2, the market for numeric domains is already closed. All 10,000 four-digit .com domains have long been acquired, and now it’s no longer about “finding something interesting,” it’s about entering with capital. Even the simplest combinations are priced around $3,000–$8,000, solid ones go for $10,000–$40,000, strong patterns reach $100,000+, and top-tier domains like 1111 or 8888 are valued in the millions. This is not theory:
0123.com sold for $252k,
8181.com sold for $225k, and
9595.com for $180k. Not to mention larger sales like
114.com sold for $2.1 million, and
360.com was acquired for $17 million by
Qihoo 360. The logic is simple: only 10,000 combinations exist, numbers are clear and liquid, and the market is fully formed. Those who entered early picked up assets for pennies and made x10, x50, x100 simply by being ahead of everyone else.
Now the same process is happening in .ton, but at a stage where the market is not yet fixed. There are no final prices, no clear floor, no ceiling, and most importantly, no final distribution. The story with numbers has already happened once, and the market has shown how something goes from “who needs this” to multi-million-dollar assets. So the question here is not about belief or ideas, it’s purely about timing.
From here, it’s very simple. It doesn’t matter who you are: a developer, entrepreneur, investor, trader, creator, or just a user. There is room here for any scale, any ambition, any goal.
“Money is coined freedom.” — Fyodor Dostoevsky
