Cambodian High School Students to Compete for the Economics Olympiad 2026 in China
PHNOM PENH—Fifty Cambodian high school students across Phnom Penh are competing to be among those who will represent Cambodia in the country’s first delegation to take part in the International Economics Olympiad (IEO) in China.
These students are the top 50 finalists selected among more than 100 students from several international schools and New Generation Schools (NGS) who competed in the first round in March.
Only five students will be selected to represent Cambodia in the competition.
IEO is an annual international competition for high school students whose goal is to deepen their understanding of economics and financial literacy. The 2026 competition features participation from more than 60 countries worldwide, and the world finals will take place in China in July.
