SIEM REAP — While some of Cambodia’s centuries-old temples are located at remote locations, others are more or less hidden at nearby sites, challenging to reach or overshadowed by the famed ones in the Angkor Archeological Park.
And there are those set in quiet villages hardly known outside their areas, some of them visited by local residents and others nearly forgotten.
Situated a mere kilometer from National Road 6, and barely 900 meters from the renown Bakong temple, the 7th-century Ov Laok temple may look remote on photographs, but is actually very easy to reach and worth spending some moments to tour and appreciate.
