Cambodian and Thai Army Informally Meet For Ceasefire Promotion
ODDAR MEANCHEY—The Cambodian Military Region 4 and Thai Army Area 2 held an informal meeting on April 23 in Oddar Meanchey province to promote the ceasefire implementation and make dispute resolution more efficient at the local level.
The RBC meeting was led by Brigadier General Nith Narong, Head of the Cambodian RBC Secretariat and Major General Kampanat Waphansu, Head of the Thai RBC Secretariat.
Both parties addressed the ongoing promotion of the Joint Statement from the 3rd Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee, which took place on December 27, 2025.
Key topics included improving informal operational coordination and local conflict resolution, supported by the Secretariats of the RBC between Cambodian Military Region 4 and Thai Army Area 2.
