Telegram Works on a Post Summarization Feature

In the 12.3 Beta version of Telegram for Android, a feature has been discovered that allows users to get a summary with key points for long posts in channels.

The summarization button is pinned to the top-right of a post. The original content can be restored by tapping the label displayed above the publication text.

The @tginfo editorial team believes that message summarization is handled by the decentralized compute network Cocoon, which serves as Telegram’s in-house solution for reducing the costs of AI-related tasks and message translation in chats.

At the moment, this feature is not shown in all Telegram channels and does not function fully. It is currently unknown whether it will become available in groups in the future.
