🌍🏅 Refugee Olympic Team - Paris 2024: No Limits to Dreams! 🏅🌍
Thirty-six athletes from 11 different countries, hosted by 15 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and competing in 12 sports, are part of the IOC Refugee Olympic Team for Paris 2024. For the third time in the Olympic Games, the team will represent the over 100 million displaced people worldwide.
For the first time since the creation of the Refugee Olympic Team, there are two refugee athletes residing in Italy. They are Iman Mahdavi (freestyle wrestling, 78kg) and Hadi Tiranvalipour (taekwondo, -58kg category), who joined the Olympic Refugee Program in 2022 and 2023.
