Devotional Music Program by Ms JB Keerthana Bharadwaj | Tamil New Year Celebrations | April 14, 2026

The two-day Tamil New Year celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam were brought to a vibrant and fulfilling close this evening with a captivating Carnatic vocal concert by Ms JB Keerthana Bharadwaj and her team.

Hailing from a rich musical lineage and trained under the able guidance of Kalaimamani Dr S Sundar, Ms Keerthana, an accomplished All India Radio A-Grade artist, presented a thoughtfully curated repertoire. She commenced the recital with a traditional Thevaram, invoking divine grace through timeless Tamil hymns that beautifully blend poetry and devotion.

The concert then flowed into a soulful rendition of the evergreen composition Brochevarevaru, followed by a deeply evocative presentation of Saint Thyagaraja’s kriti Mokshamu Galada. Adding a touch of folk flavour, she rendered Kumaran Thal, a composition of Papanasam Sivan, bringing in vibrant cultural hues. This was followed by the joyous Sai bhajan Anandamaya Bhagawan, which filled the hall with devotion and festivity.

Radiating serenity and devotional intensity, Ms Keerthana concluded her offering with a moving rendition from the revered Thiruppugazh, bringing the evening to a spiritually uplifting and melodious close.
