email is circulating online claiming to be issued by the Income Tax Department for Assessment Year 2025–26. The email further asks recipients to pay a tax demand and directs them to click a link to view an 'Assessment Order.'

email and the Assessment Order are fake and have not been issued by the Income Tax Department.
⚠️ Fraudsters may also send emails claiming errors in tax calculation, refund processing, or pending notices to trick users into clicking malicious links.
�� A
void clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal or financial information.
✅ The Income Tax Department never asks for passwords, OTPs, or bank details through email, SMS, or phone calls.
�� Tax-related communications can be verified by logging into the official e-filing portal.
�� Official emails are sent only from verified domains such as
@incometax.gov.in
�� Report phishing emails at:

�� Always verify communications through the official portal:
