During the inter-ministerial briefing on the ongoing situation in West Asia, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, said that India's crude inventories are sufficient, and refineries are operating at maximum capacity. She also informed that there is no shortage of Sulphur as India's refineries are operating at optimal capacity, and the Government of India has reduced the excise duty to keep the prices stable.
