During the media briefing on ongoing situation in West Asia, Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas informed that the Government of India issued a gazette notification yesterday with the objective to streamline application fees and approval timelines related to PNG connections across all states. She also informed that in last 25 days, 2.5 lakh new connections have been given.
