During the Inter-Ministerial Briefing on Recent Developments in West Asia, Aseem R. Mahajan, Additional Secretary (Gulf), Ministry of External Affairs, said that there has been a marked decline in calls and queries on the Ministry's and Missions' helplines, an indication that many urgent issues relating to stranded nationals and others have been addressed.

He informed that the Ministry's Missions remain in constant touch with local governments, who are also supporting welfare efforts for the Indian community.
