?? On December 7–8, political consultations were held in Manama between Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin and Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif Al Zayani, as well as Undersecretary for Political Affairs Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa.

Sergey Vershinin was also received by Bahrain’s National Security Advisor, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

In anticipation of Bahrain’s accession to the UN Security Council as a non-permanent member for 2026–2027, a detailed discussion on current international and regional issues took place.

Particular emphasis was placed on the Middle East peace process and the situation around Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Libya, Sudan, and Yemen.

The Parties also discussed the general working methods of the #UNSC and the UN-80 reform process.

In addition, the full range of issues concerning Russian–Bahraini cooperation was reviewed, as well as the strengthening of its international legal framework and the enhancement of bilateral coordination, including at various multilateral forums.
