????On the occasion of Unknown Soldier Day, Russian diplomats in the Netherlands laid flowers at the monument in the Soviet Field of Glory cemetery near  Amersfoort. The memorial commemorates 865 Soviet soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of the Kingdom. 

??Those present honoured the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

??December 3 is celebrated annually in Russia as Unknown Soldier Day. This date was established on 4 November 2014 by Russian President Vladimir Putin to ‘perpetuate the memory, military valour and immortal feat of Russian and Soviet soldiers who died in combat on the territory of our country or beyond its borders, whose names remain unknown.’
