🇺🇦 The latest in the ongoing war in Ukraine is Russia's deputy defense minister, Alexander Fomin, telling reporters on Tuesday that the armed forces would "drastically reduce military activity in the Kyiv and Chernihiv direction," claiming the decision was made to help with peace negotiations.

However, this did not happen as the governor of Ukraine's Chernihiv region said Russian forces hit the city of Chernihiv "all night long".

🏫 In other news, the families of the victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting rejected a settlement offer by the Infowars host Alex Jones whom they accused of defaming them by claiming the killings never actually took place.

They said the offer was an attempt by Jones to "escape a public reckoning."

🥊 Lastly, following on from what happened between Will Smith and Chris Rock at Oscars, comedians have been reacting to the slap – many worry it could set a precedent for striking performers.
