Among other things, the committee proposes extending the limit on self-determined abortion from week 12 to week 18, removing the current abortion boards, and proposals for new boards for the reduction of the number of fetuses, the right to follow-up after abortion, easier abortion procedures, and more research on abortion.

Abort vil alltid være trivielt for noen, og sårt for andre. Men uansett hvor sårt det er, kan vi ikke la det hindre en fremgang for kvinners rettigheter. Så lenge det finnes nemnder, har kvinner fortsatt ikke rett til å bestemme fullt og helt over egen kropp.

Abortion will always be trivial for some, and painful for others. But no matter how painful it is, we cannot let it prevent progress for women's rights. As long as there are tribunals, women still do not have the right to decide fully and completely over their own bodies.
