From Culture to Commerce: Maharashtra to Drive the India-Vietnam Economic Growth Story 🇮🇳🇻🇳

It was a pleasure meeting with the President of Vietnam, H.E. Mr. To Lam and his esteemed delegation in Mumbai today. As India-Vietnam bilateral ties upgrade to an Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Maharashtra is ready to be a driving force in this growth story.

We discussed inviting Vietnamese investment for a Buddhist heritage circuit at Ajanta and Ellora Caves to celebrate our shared heritage. Mumbai and Ho Chi Minh City offer strong opportunities in smart cities, startups and urban planning. Vingroup’s $6.5 billion investment in Maharashtra has further strengthened economic ties and opened avenues for greater collaboration. The proposed annual Maharashtra–Vietnam Business Summit will further boost strategic partnerships.

Grateful to Hon. PM Narendra Modi for creating a platform that strengthens ties between Maharashtra and Vietnam. We look forward to closer engagement with Vietnam across culture, commerce and people-to-people ties.
