Nashik: Powering Maharashtra’s Trillion-Dollar Goal with Historic Investments for Simhasta Kumbh Mela 2027!

Participated in the ‘Kumbh Udyog Sangam and Nashik District Investment Summit 2026’ in Nashik today and addressed the gathering. Expressed confidence that Nashik will emerge as a key growth engine for North Maharashtra, supported by its religious significance in the Simhastha Kumbh Mela and a strong development trajectory.

Over 300 MoUs have been signed at the district level, with expected investments of around ₹13,190 crore, creating nearly 32,000 jobs. In the last three years, Nashik has attracted ₹31,945 crore in investments, generating around 66,000 employment opportunities, driven by industry-friendly policies and the ‘MAITRI’ single-window system.

In the past two years, major industries have invested nearly ₹57,000 crore, along with ₹12,000 crore facilitated from Davos. With industries expanding across North Maharashtra, Nashik is emerging as a strong industrial magnet. Maharashtra accounts for 24% of the country’s GCCs, and Nashik holds significant potential in this sector.

For the Simhastha Kumbh Mela, industry groups are contributing through CSR, while the State Government will undertake development works worth around ₹33,000 crore, supporting further growth and contributing to an economy of nearly ₹3,00,000 crore.

The Kumbh Mela reflects India’s inclusive culture and faith. Infrastructure like the Nashik Ring Road will create jobs, while planned facilities will support sustainable development, with a focus on environmental conservation and technology-driven management for a seamless devotee experience.

Minister Girishbhau Mahajan, Minister Sanjay Sawkare, Minister Uday Samant, Minister Dadaji Bhuse, Minister Narhari Zirwal, Nashik Mayor Himgauritai Aher-Adke and other dignitaries were present.
