Ephemeral Messages
• Bots can now send
ephemeral group messages that are visible only to a specific user – ideal for welcome messages, whispers, summaries and more.
• Out of the box, ephemeral messages support most media types.
• Bot
commands can now be marked as ephemeral, letting users discretely reach out to bots in groups.
• Bots can easily
reply to ephemeral messages or
delete them before they expire.
Rich Messages
• Bots can now build outgoing
rich messages directly from structured entity
blocks, as an alternative to
Markdown or
HTML.
• Rich messages using
Markdown or
HTML can now explicitly attach
embedded media like
photos,
videos,
animations and
more.
Communities
• Introduced initial support for
Communities — several groups, channels, and bots linked together around a shared topic or audience.
• Bots can already
check which Community a chat belongs to and detect relevant
service messages.
