Indians need to reconcile their own genocidal history at the time of contact when Samuel Champlain, and accompanied by Jesuit priests, witnessed all up and down the St. Lawrence, Seaway, Quebec, and into Labrador. Brutal, absolutely savage, bloody, intertribal warfare killing entire villages, taking slaves.
This is documented in their observances in letters, and it was put into a book which is in the national archives of Canada by the way - “The Jesuit relations“ , specifically volumes 54 to 56.
Fast forward to the mid 19th century, 1850-1856 to be precise, Governor Blanchard and Governor Douglas received consistent reports that the Haida were raiding down the pacific coast, killing entire villages, taking slaves and eliminating entire communities.
This is also very well documented in the University of Victoria archives called the “colonial dispatches“.
Indians are so angry at the white man, maybe they might want to examine their own ancestors bloody warring, genocidal activities
