Limits for folders have been increased for non-Premium users — they are now the same as for Premium users.

Non-Premium users can now create up to 30 folders (previously up to 10) and add up to 200 chats to each folder (previously up to 100).

The test BotFather MiniApp has also received new functionality for managing a bot's NFT usernames. You can hide them, change their position, and more.

A new feature for completing a Claim related to TON wallets has been added to Telegram's test website contest.com.

The new process allows users to:
— Connect a TON wallet through TON Connect;
— Verify wallet ownership through TON Proof;
— View the verified address and change the connected wallet;
— Enter their name, country, street, city/region and postal code;
— Review the entered information before submitting;
— Edit the information or change the wallet;
— Submit the final Claim.

It is currently unknown what exactly this feature is intended for. It is likely being prepared for a new type of Contest where a TON wallet and the Claim mechanism will be used.

For several days, users have been sending stickers in chats that can cause the app to crash or become unresponsive. Android users were not affected because Telegram uses a new Lottie rendering library called «tlottie», while Telegram Desktop and iOS users experienced app crashes.

Telegram Desktop v7.2.7 is now available, and users can update to it to fix the bug.

The bug has also been fixed on iOS, but users will have to wait for the stable update, which will likely be released within the next few days or weeks.

teleLakel Видео: In the new Telegram Beta for iOS v12.10.0 (34738), Gram Wallet has been added. It doesn't work yet and is currently view-only. First 5 transfers each day are free, the rest cost almost nothing. Previously mentioned: [View 1], [View 2] @telelakel | #new_tgbeta
I analyzed the code of Telegram Beta for iOS v12.10.0 (34738) and found more detailed information about the upcoming Gram Wallet.

Here is what is known:
— Creating, importing and restoring Gram Wallet
Users will be able to create a new wallet using a Recovery Phrase, while importing a wallet will support 12- or 24-word phrases. Telegram will check whether the entered words and the Recovery Phrase itself are valid. Wallet recovery on a new device will also be supported.

— Recovery Phrase protection and backup
The wallet's secret data will be securely stored on the device and should not leave it in an unencrypted form. The Recovery Phrase can be stored in an encrypted backup: it is split into several encrypted parts and distributed across Telegram's data centers. Access to the backup is additionally protected by the two-factor authentication password. During recovery, the data is collected and decrypted locally on the new device.

— Key Rotation without changing the address
Key Rotation will allow users to replace the keys of an existing Wallet while keeping the wallet address and transaction history unchanged. After that, the old key will no longer be able to sign new operations.

— Gram and TON DNS transfers
The Wallet will support sending Gram to blockchain addresses and ".ton" names. Before sending, it will check the balance, the current wallet state, the fee and the possible result of the transaction. It will also be possible to send the entire available balance with the fee calculated automatically.

There will also be an option to send Gram directly to Telegram users. You will be able to select a recipient from your contacts, use the «Money» button in the attach menu, or open a user's profile and select the corresponding action from the three-dot menu. In this case, the Wallet will determine the appropriate way to credit the funds to the selected user, so there will be no need to manually copy a blockchain address.

— Encrypted comments
Encrypted comments can be added to Gram transactions. The text will be encrypted for the recipient before being added to the blockchain transaction.

— NFTs, Collectibles and Jettons
The Wallet will be able to store, view and transfer NFTs, as well as work with Jettons. Before sending an NFT, its owner and current state will be checked, including whether the asset is currently listed for sale or placed in an auction. The Wallet will also automatically calculate the required fee for transferring an NFT.

— TON Connect and Web3
The Wallet will be able to connect to Web3 apps through TON Connect. Users will see information about the connected app and the requested permissions, after which they can approve or reject the connection. Web3 apps will be able to request transactions, message signatures and TON Proof. Before executing an operation, the Wallet will verify it and require confirmation through Face ID or Touch ID.

— Buying cryptocurrency with fiat
Gram Wallet already has a system prepared for purchasing cryptocurrency with regular money. Users will be able to select a cryptocurrency, fiat currency, payment provider, payment method and amount. Before the purchase, the Wallet will check whether the operation is available in the user's region, supported currencies and payment methods, minimum and maximum limits, as well as the current exchange rate and final amount. After confirmation, a payment session will be created with a predefined Wallet address for receiving the cryptocurrency. The payment providers will likely be MoonPay and Ramp Network.

Most of these features are not yet available to users through the visual interface — they are currently implemented only at the code level. These features may change or be expanded with new functionality in the future.

The names of owners of IOI and IOAI participant gifts will now be displayed when the gifts have been resold to other users.

Previously, «IOI/IOAI 2026 Winner» was displayed instead of the owner's name. This will remain unchanged for participants who still own their gifts, even if the gift is displayed on their profile.

For resold gifts, the name of the new owner who purchased the gift will now be displayed instead.

teleLakel Here's what's coming in the next Telegram stable update (v12.10.0): — Built-in TON (Gram) wallet in Telegram. The built-in wallet will be a separate section within the app. Based on my observations, it appears to be built from scratch rather than using an existing third-party wallet, although the final implementation is not yet complete. [View 1] — Support for buttons in Rich Messages. Using the Bot API, you can add buttons with any supported content directly inside Rich Messages. In the Rich Messages editor, you can create buttons by selecting a text fragment and scrolling the bottom toolbar to the end. More details. [View 1], [View 2], [View 3] — Welcome Messages. Add ephemeral welcome messages to your groups or channels that are shown only to the user when they join the group or channel. On the production server, you can add up to 3 Welcome Messages, while the test server supports up to 5. Bots also support this type of message. [View 1], [View 2], [View 3], [View 4] — New design for the «Unsupported Message» notice. The appearance of this service message has been updated in both the Android and iOS clients. [View 1] — Comments for NFT gifts purchased from the internal marketplace. Add comments of up to 128 characters and use Premium Emoji with NFT gifts you purchase from the internal marketplace. More details here. [View 1], [View 2], [View 3] — Add files to Rich Messages. You can now insert files between text blocks in Rich Messages. [View 1] — Support for Rich Messages in Ephemeral Messages. Using the Bot API, you can send Rich-formatted ephemeral messages in groups. [View 1] — Report Mini Apps that violate Telegram's rules. [View 1] — Display of ephemeral messages in channels using bots. Bots support both types of messages: Unanchored and Anchored. More details about this type of message here. [View 1], [View 2]. *Note: Some features might not work. This list is meant to provide detailed info and may be updated if new features are added. @telelakel | #ListOfUpcomingUpdates
After analyzing the code of Telegram’s upcoming TON (Gram) Wallet and its smart contract, we can already see what is being prepared.

The wallet will support TON, Jettons, and NFTs. Users will be able to view their balance and transaction history, as well as receive and send assets. TON Connect will also be available, allowing the wallet to connect to websites and dApps on the TON network and confirm transactions.

The code also includes dedicated NFT functionality. The wallet will be able to retrieve a user’s NFT list and information about them. For transactions, the actual amount of expenses is also calculated, including the network fee.

Now, regarding the smart contract.

It supports batch operations — up to 255 messages can be sent in a single request. This means that, for example, multiple transfers can be made at once instead of creating a separate operation for each one.

There are also gasless operations. In certain scenarios, the user won’t need to have TON on their balance specifically to pay the network fee — the fee can be paid by another party.

The smart contract also supports linking a Telegram User ID to a specific wallet. The Telegram ID is stored directly in the smart contract data, with a separate verification mechanism for assigning it.

We’ll learn more details about Gram Wallet soon...
