A total of 385 agreements worth 6.5 trillion rubles ($82.75 bln) are expected to be signed at the 2026 Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev said.

"As of today, we plan to conclude 385 agreements with a total value of 6.5 trillion rubles," the deputy prime minister said.


He added that this year's forum is expected to host as many as 75 countries.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has reported the destruction of several US refueling aircraft and fighter jets at an airbase in Jordan.

"Last night, the US military once again carried out hostile actions, using its base in Jordan to commit a major war crime by targeting civilian facilities, including bridges, residential areas and a water pumping station in Iran’s southern city of Bandar Abbas. Russia and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Technical Secretariat are engaged in active consultations on an OPCW expert visit to the country, Moscow's Permanent Representative to the organization Vladimir Tarabrin told TASS.

"Active consultations are underway based on current procedures to agree on all logistical, technical and legal aspects of a potential visit to Russia. This is meticulous work involving multiple nuances," he noted.


Tarabrin expressed hope that the parties would be able "to reach common ground and resolve all issues" so that OPCW experts could visit Russia.

Brazil is not going to make concessions to the United States and will keep defending its own economic and political sovereignty, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva said after Washington announced new tariffs on Brazilian goods.

"Brazil will fight for its sovereignty without hesitation," he wrote on the X social network.


US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday that his country was introducing 25% tariffs on the majority of goods delivered from Brazil.
