Что вообще такое творческий процесс?

Наверное, это внутренняя интуитивная интенция, которая постепенно развивается, уточняется и обретает форму именно в процессе создания. Эта интенция складывается из опыта, владения инструментами, техник и кругозора.

Сам процесс придания формы этой интенции состоит из невероятного количества хаоса, случайностей и бесконечного числа переменных, которые возникают буквально на каждом шагу. Именно работа с этим шумом обычно оказывается самой любимой частью творчества, потому что она возвращает то самое детское чувство открытия и искреннего любопытства. Лично для меня именно ради этого ощущения вообще стоит что либо создавать.

Если задуматься, человечество породило огромное количество открытий именно благодаря исследованию и постепенному укрощению этого хаоса.

Формирование этой интенции может занимать годы, иногда десятилетия. Она меняется вместе с нашим опытом, философией и взглядом на мир.

Но можно ли заранее сформулировать то, к чему способен привести только сам процесс создания?

Мне кажется, именно здесь скрывается одна из главных причин, почему так много результатов взаимодействия с искусственным интеллектом ощущаются поверхностными. Отсюда же растут ноги у феномена AI slop. Эстетические паттерны начинают бесконечно реплицироваться и теряют уникальность.

Когда мы пропускаем процесс создания, у нас остается только интенция и кругозор. Но мы лишаем себя самого ценного: чувства настоящего открытия, ощущения игры и желания экспериментировать.

Многие мои проекты приняли форму только благодаря непредсказуемости процесса и экспериментам. Я бы никогда не смог придумать их заранее, просто потому что невозможно заранее представить форму, которая появляется только в процессе работы.

Это я к чему?

Инструменты, которыми мы располагаем сегодня, абсолютно потрясающие. Их потенциал огромен. Но не лишайте себя удовольствия от самого процесса. Даже минимальная ручная работа с генерациями дает в разы более интересные комбинации.

Creativity Has Been Slopped

What is the creative process?

Maybe it begins as an intuitive inner intention that slowly develops, evolves, and eventually finds its form through the act of creation itself. That intention is shaped by our experience, tools, techniques, and visual vocabulary.

Then something strange happens. Giving form to that intention means navigating an incredible amount of chaos. Every step introduces endless variables and happy accidents. Working with that chaos is often the most rewarding part of creating because it brings back that childlike feeling of discovery and genuine curiosity. For me, that’s the entire reason to make anything at all.

Think how much humanity has created by exploring that chaos.

Shaping this intention can take years, even decades. It changes as we change. It evolves alongside our experiences, our philosophy, and the way we see the world.

Can you fully define in advance something that can only emerge through the act of creating?

I think this is one of the main reasons why so much AI generated work feels shallow. It’s also where the sameness of AI slop comes from. The aesthetics that make up our visual vocabulary begin to endlessly replicate themselves, slowly losing their uniqueness.

When we skip the creative process, we’re left with only intention and taste. We lose the most important part: the feeling of genuine discovery, the sense of play, and the desire to experiment.

Many of my projects exist only because of unpredictable experiments. I could never have designed them by writing the final outcome in advance because I simply couldn’t have imagined the form they would eventually take.

So here’s my takeaway. The tools we have today are incredible, and their potential is enormous. Just don’t deprive yourself of the joy of the process. Even the smallest amount of manual play with AI generated results immediately leads to far more interesting outcomes.
