InteRussia Opens Theatre Fellowship for Actors from BRICS+ Countries

The InteRussia Fellowship Programme “Professional Training for Actors of Drama Theatre and Cinema” has officially opened in Moscow, bringing together 14 young actors from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, India, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Malaysia, China and Ethiopia.

The opening ceremony was held at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – GITIS and featured welcoming remarks by:

Marina Kiryushkina, Acting Rector of GITIS;

Lyana Dymova, Coordinator of Scientific Programmes at the Gorchakov Fund;

Konstantin Kolpakov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo;

Alexandra Burman, Director of the International Cooperation Department at TV BRICS.

Over the coming weeks, the fellows will take practical classes in acting technique, stage speech and movement, study Konstantin Stanislavsky’s system and Vsevolod Meyerhold’s biomechanics, meet Russian actors and cultural figures, and visit the Moscow Art Theatre, the Bolshoi Theatre, the Stanislavsky Museum and other key venues. The programme runs until 3 October 2026.

The InteRussia Fellowship in Theatre Arts is implemented by Mezhdunarodniki Autonomous Non-Profit Organisation in cooperation with the Gorchakov Fund, GITIS and TV BRICS International Media Network. The programme is implemented as part of Rossotrudnichestvo’s flagship New Generation initiative with grant support from the Presidential Grants Foundation.

Bridging Continents: Latin American Energy Fellows Wrap Up Their Journey in St. Petersburg

The InteRussia fellowship for energy specialists from Latin America has officially come to an end at Saint Petersburg State University of Economics.

Over four intensive weeks, young professionals from Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Uruguay, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador and Brazil immersed themselves in Russia’s fuel and energy complex — exploring modern infrastructure, exchanging expertise with leading Russian specialists, and building lasting professional connections.

What did our fellows experience during the programme?

Attended expert lectures and discussions on artificial intelligence in energy, environmental security, and the impact of global crises on energy markets
Visited key facilities of Transneft, Gazprom headquarters, Mosenergo and other major companies of the Russian energy sector
Took part in an educational programme across two cities — Moscow and St. Petersburg
Combined professional immersion with a rich cultural agenda: sightseeing tours, Peterhof, Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve and VDNKh

Ever wondered what happens behind the fuel pump?

The InteRussia Energy fellows got to find out during their visit to a Gazprom Neft filling station in St. Petersburg. They managed to see how the station operates and learn about the technology that keeps everything running smoothly.

The fellows also explored the digital solutions used to monitor the station and manage its day-to-day operations. It was a chance to see the energy sector from a more familiar, everyday perspective and understand what goes into getting fuel from the supply chain to a customer’s tank.

Our Fellows Are Reaching New Heights

How high can an InteRussia fellowship take you? Our fellows explored it visiting Ostankino Tower in Moscow and Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg.

Our journalism fellows from Africa visited Ostankino Tower, one of Moscow’s most recognisable landmarks and a symbol of Russian television. Standing 540 metres tall, the tower has been an important part of the country’s broadcasting infrastructure since 1967.

Lakhta Center

Next stop: St. Petersburg — and an even higher landmark.

Our energy fellows from Latin America visited Lakhta Center, the tallest building in Europe at 462 metres. Its distinctive twisting design draws inspiration from St. Petersburg’s maritime character, with the tower’s silhouette recalling a ship and a rising spire. The complex is also home to the central office of Gazprom, one of Russia’s largest energy companies.
