Zero-Fee Transactions

Pavel Durov announced that within a week, transaction fees on the TON blockchain will be reduced by 6 times, reaching as low as 0.00039 TON regardless of network load.

It is also reported that after a major blockchain upgrade, fees for most transactions could become zero.

Previously, transaction speeds in TON were increased by 10 times – primarily as part of the Make TON Great Again (MTONGA) program. The reduction of fees is now the second step.

Testnet Update

Anatoly Makosov shared information on the TON testnet update in his Telegram channel, where transaction speeds are now less than one second.

In the video, he clearly demonstrated token transfers on the network and the instant display of data in the MyTonWallet wallet and the tonscan.org blockchain explorer. Speed upgrades are also being prepared for the TON mainnet.

At the same time, TON retains all its key advantages: high performance, the ability to process a large number of transactions, and fixed network fees that do not increase during high network load.

Coinbase has added TON to its listing roadmap

On its 𝕏 page, Coinbase announced that it has included Toncoin in the listing roadmap.

At the same time, Coinbase clarified that the listing will not happen immediately, market-making support must first be established and basic technical preparations completed. Once all the details are ready, Coinbase will announce the launch of the listing on its page.

Crypto Wallet Introduces Instant Card Withdrawals

Wallet in Telegram has launched instant bank card withdrawals in its custodial service through its partner Mercuryo.

For now, users can withdraw TON, USDT, BTC, and several other tokens directly to their bank cards in just a few moments.

The feature allows not only the withdrawal of assets from the available balance but also those held in Earn campaigns.

Here’s how it works:

1. Open Crypto Wallet, tap “Send” and choose “Bank Card”
2. Choose the asset you want to withdraw and enter the amount
3. Add your bank card details and confirm the withdrawal
4. Done. Funds go straight to your Bank card.

Tokenized U.S. Stocks Coming Soon to Wallet

Crypto Wallet plans to launch trading of tokenized U.S. company stocks this October in its custodial service.

What’s planned:

• The Wallet will offer access to over 60 instruments, including Apple, Tesla, and the S&P 500 index fund.

• Each token will be backed 1:1 by the underlying asset, making it a full digital representation of the security.

• Trading will be available 24/7 on weekdays, regardless of U.S. market hours.

• The feature will first launch in the custodial Crypto Wallet, with a rollout to the non-custodial TON Wallet to follow.

• According to Kraken and Backed Finance, trading volume of xStocks has already reached billions of dollars.

Verb Technology × Kingsway Capital to Launch a Toncoin Treasury Acquisition Company

Verb Technology has announced a private placement of approximately $558 million to establish the first publicly traded Toncoin treasury reserve, in partnership with Kingsway Capital.

The deal attracted participation from over 110 institutional and crypto investors, including Kingsway Capital, Vy Capital, Blockchain.com, Ribbit Capital, and Graticule (GAMA).

The transaction is expected to close around August 7, 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. Following the completion, the company intends to allocate the majority of the net proceeds to purchasing Toncoin, further strengthening TON’s position in the institutional space.

Send Transfers On-Chain via @push

MyTonWallet has launched the @push bot to send TON, USD₮, and MY directly in Telegram- straight to any TON wallet.

The bot operates on full decentralization principles and is simple to use. To send funds, just write a message in any chat, group, or channel using the format:
@push 10 TON @username Comment

You can also enter the transfer amount in fiat - the bot will automatically convert it to cryptocurrency. Plus, you can use math expressions directly in inline mode to conveniently calculate the transfer amount:
@push 50/2*4 euro @username

How is @push different from Wallet, Crypto Bot, or xRocket?
These services are custodial — your funds are tied to your Telegram account, seed phrases are not available, and transfers happen off-chain.
@push, on the other hand, is fully on-chain - all transactions happen on the blockchain and the bot is compatible with any TON wallet.

How to send funds via @push?
Type a message in any chat or channel starting with @push, specify the amount, optionally the recipient’s @username, and a comment. You’ll then be prompted to confirm the transaction via a non-custodial wallet.

How does the recipient receive the transfer?
They need to press the “Receiving” button, then connect their TON wallet using TON Connect or manually enter their address (or domain).

Due to Telegram limitations, sending transfers from anonymous admins in chats and channels may not work.
If you’re a channel admin, enable Message signing and Show author profiles. For group chats, disable anonymous admin mode.

TON is now 10x faster: Transactions in Just 3-5 seconds

The TON Core team has completed a major series of core optimizations for TON, planned for the first half of 2025. As a result, transaction finality under low to moderate network load has improved nearly tenfold - most operations now complete in just 35 seconds, compared to the previous 30-50 seconds.

Over this period, five updates were released, improving all key components of the network:
• Block validation;
• Cryptographic operations;
• Networking;
• Database performance;
• State serialization and deserialization.

Thanks to these changes, a single shardchain can now handle the current load of the mainnet - previously, up to four shards were needed. This means most operations - like token transfers or DEX swaps - are now processed within a single block, without cross-shard interaction.

Under high load, the blockchain will still scale via sharding, also implemented significant stability improvements for peak periods.

MyTonWallet updated to v3.8: NFT attributes, improved transaction feed, base currency display

New NFT screen
If your wallet contains NFTs with attributes (as Telegram gifts), MyTonWallet now displays detailed information about those properties - including rarity percentages and other metadata in future updates.

Improved transaction feed design
All transactions are now displayed more clearly and intuitively. Tokens are shown with both names and icons. Brief labels such as “Purchase” or “Sale” will be used for NFT operations.

Display of amounts in base currency
When sending or viewing transactions, you’ll now see the amount not only in the transaction’s currency but also in your selected base currency: USD, EUR, RUB, CNY, BTC, or TON. For example, if you send USDT and your base currency is TON, both values will be shown.

Quick interface switching
In the desktop and web versions of MyTonWallet, you can now instantly switch between portrait and landscape modes with a single click.

No new blocks have been created in the TON for over 55 minutes. The team has announced that the blockchain will be restored shortly.

NFT-Gifts on the Blockchain Can Also Become Invalid

Even upgraded gifts sent to the TON blockchain as NFTs can be downgraded to regular gifts or become completely invalid in Telegram. This happens if the stars used to purchase or upgrade the gift are refunded.

How does gift status get downgraded?

For example, a user buys stars via the App Store or Google Play, then purchases and/or upgrades a gift. After 21 days, they send the gift to the TON blockchain as an NFT and later request a refund for the stars. If the refund is approved, Telegram marks the gift as invalid: it can no longer be set on the profile, used as a status, or transferred to another user. However, the NFT itself remains in the user’s wallet on the blockchain.

Sometimes, users purchase stars through unreliable services or P2P deals. In these cases, the seller may initiate a refund, which also results in the gift being burned. We’ve previously covered such cases on the @tginfo channel.

Why does this matter?

Even if the gift becomes invalid in Telegram, it still exists as an NFT and can be listed for sale on marketplaces like Fragment.com, Getgems.io, and others. However, these platforms don’t display warnings about the gift’s status in Telegram, which may mislead buyers who expect to use the gift in their profile.

We recommend checking the status of NFT gifts before purchasing. You can do this using the link format: t.me/nft/GiftName-XXX, replacing “GiftName-XXX” with the correct name (no spaces) and number. For example, Plush Pepe #1098 would be: t.me/nft/PlushPepe-1098.

The Dmitry Korobeynikov channel has already shared examples of gifts listed for sale but no longer usable in Telegram, and also reported that some of these gifts have since been fully restored and are now functional again in Telegram.

The company Libre is launching a tokenized Telegram Bond Fund (TBF) on the TON blockchain.

What's happening:
• Libre will create a fixed income fund that will purchase $500 million in Telegram bonds and tokenize them on the TON blockchain.
• Accredited investors will gain access to a portion of Telegram's debt obligations, totaling approximately $2.35 billion.
• The obtained tokens can be used as collateral for borrowing and product development within the TON network.
