as you know, our fund supports artists. patrons decide who gets the money, and the first round just opened

6 artists came with their projects:

• Timur Zima: a full tarot deck, 78 cards redrawn by hand

• Rei Delos-Reyes: an autobiographical art book about becoming an image-maker

• benjamingotbenz: a synthesizer built inside an old iPod

• Mikle Pitersky: the street lettering of Paris, before it disappears

• Vitalia Son: everyday objects turned into weapons

• Soreab: an album made from field recordings of his childhood home

our patrons will pick two artists from this list to get the funding for their project

that's how people from our community become part of the artists' works

each of the chosen ones will carry the same line: patrons made this happen

in may 2021 italian artist Salvatore Garau sold an invisible sculpture at auction in Milan. the buyer got a certificate and instructions: display it in a 5x5 ft empty space at home

even a vacuum has weight, he said

5 years earlier Tom Miller built an invisible structure in a public square in Gainesville, Florida. he called it Nothing

when the sale went viral, Miller hired a lawyer: "i should be credited with Nothing, and Gainesville, Florida, not Italy, is where Nothing happened first"

the letter was sent. the suit was never filed. Garau never responded

our patron said about this:

two artists, thousands of miles and five years apart, both decided the most valuable thing they could build was nothing at all

one made $18k off it, the other just wanted credit

an italian blogger traced it to a google office in Zürich

it was just an automated system testing YouTube's video quality. Google's official response was a rickroll
