The Norwegian nationwide study on bereaved parents and siblings in the case of cot death, accidents and suicide from 1997 to 2003 (Dyregrov, K., 2003) and other studies of bereaved in unnatural deaths that occur individually, show that such losses can cause extensive and long-lasting trauma and bereavement problems, with consequent reduced quality of life and impaired work and school functioning (Kristensen, Weisæth & Heir, 2012).

Den vanligste formen for komplisert sorg (forlenget sorg) avspeiler en sorg som er knyttet til tapet av en kjær person og der sorgen har en intensitet og varighet som går langt utover vanlige sorgreaksjoner (Dyregrov, A., Dyregrov & Kristensen, 2014). Traumereaksjonene karakteriseres gjennom kroppslig aktivering, påtrengende tanker og bilder, samt unngåelse knyttet til minner om hendelsen (Kaltman & Bonanno, 2004; Weiss, 2004).

The most common form of complicated grief (prolonged grief) reflects a grief that is linked to the loss of a loved one and where the grief has an intensity and duration that goes far beyond normal grief reactions (Dyregrov, A., Dyregrov & Kristensen, 2014). The trauma reactions are characterized by bodily activation, intrusive thoughts and images, as well as avoidance linked to memories of the event (Kaltman & Bonanno, 2004; Weiss, 2004).

Høy forekomst av kompliserte sorgreaksjoner, traumereaksjoner, fysiske reaksjoner, angst og depresjon er tidligere dokumentert hos etterlatte etter internasjonale terrorhendelser (Neria et al., 2007; Norris, Friedman, Watson, Byrne, Diaz & Kaniasty, 2002). The tragedy of 22 July seems a paradox: On the one hand, the terrorist attacks may be the most shocking and incomprehensible acts ever experienced in Norway. Few had envisaged that anything so unreal could become a reality: 77 people were killed. Many more were seriously injured.

A total of 564 people were present, when the terrorist, dressed to look like a police- man, started to shoot at 17:21 (NOU, 2012, pp. 14, 23-26). The police arrived at the island at 18:27 and the perpetrator was arrested at 18:34 (NOU, 2012, pp. 14, 30). Totally, 69 people were killed and 56 were admitted to hospital with severe injuries.

Remember: BREIVIK DIDN'T KILLED 77 PEOPLE! so the crime is not killing 77 people.

Suicide done after a terror attack or rape or other similar crimes is INDIRECT HOMICIDE! and should get considered in the sentence.

Anders Behring Breivik is definitely a different terrorist from all other previous terrorists. The story behind is huge tragic, but even in some part interesting and huge related to what is happening now in Palestine and Israel ... Just considering the fact that no other terrorists released so much informations, even because many do a suicide attack. No matter, even if Breivik was ready to do suicide, he released all infos before the attack.

Now, with the massacre he did we can understand many things. One of this is that
NOT JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE DON'T DIE, means there is no trauma or suffering.

Like a raper is doing indirectly an homicide killing the victims, since many of them commit suicide

Now, let we correlate this to 🇮🇱. Seeing just "well, only 1200 - 1400 people died" is bullshit! because we forget all other people having trauma, being now disabled, all families and friends ... without considering people that maybe will do suicide in future due to this situation!

So what we want to say:
a) 🇵🇸 have more empathy!
b) 🇮🇱 have more empathy too! since the same happens in 🇵🇸
c) DON'T LOOK JUST TO NUMBERS!
d) Don't forget all suicides due to such things! like people do with rape ...
